You may not be familiar with the gem of a musical that is opening Thursday at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater.  Stage Scene LA calls it: “One of the most enthralling, entertaining and moving love stories on the American musical theater stage.”

We’re talking about Daddy Long Legs!  Here’s a short video, shot at one of Good Company Players’ rehearsals.

Good Company Players has announced the 2022 season at its 2nd Space Theatre.  Here are the shows:

Current 2nd Space Season Ticket Holders can renew or add shows at a reduced price through August 10.  Savings are also available for new subscribers.  You can purchase your season tickets by phone at (559) 266-0660.

On stage right now at 2nd Space is This Random World, with Barefoot in the Park coming up next month.

This Random World is a play about the myth of Serendipity by Steven Dietz.  Sweet, funny, lyrical, intimate, and sometimes poignant, This Random Worldexplores the power of chance, and the many little moments and accidents that make up a life.  Here’s how some of the cast members feel about the show.

We will continue to require proof of vaccination for admission to Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater at least through September 12.  We also accept proof of a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior.  We feel this is the best way to protect our guests, staff and performers.

At last word, only 45% of Fresno County adult residents have had any vaccine, and the Delta variant is on the rise.  Vaccinated people seem protected but we don’t want to risk un-vaccinated people sharing the same table.

What about masks?

The most common thing we’ve heard at the door during the past several weeks is, “Since everyone here is vaccinated, why do we have to wear masks?”  As of next week we will no longer require masks. There is an exception, for those who are not vaccinated and have a negative covid-19 test dated within 72 hours, we ask that they wear a mask at all times.

However, our staff members will continue to mask up and you are absolutely welcome to wear one if you prefer.

Please remember your vaccine card or a photo of it when you come.  If you’re bringing guests, please make sure they are aware proof of vaccination is required
