Good Company Players’ exuberant production of A Christmas Story the Musical wraps up it’s phenomenal run at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater on January 8th!  We’re very full, but there are still tickets available at a few performances for this heartwarming family favorite.
Get a video peek at the show here.
Then, call 559-266-9494 to get in on the fun.

You may be too young to remember humorist Will Rogers but his wit and wisdom still resonate today.  Take these quotes, for example:

  • “It isn’t what we know that gives us trouble, it’s what we know that ain’t so.”
  • “Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.”
  • “Everything is changing. People are taking their comedians seriously and their politicians as a joke.”
  • “If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.”
  • “Never miss a good chance to shut up.”

GCP’s production of The Will Rogers Follies hits the stage at Roger Rocka’s January 12th.  This show-stopping, eye-popping, heart warming salute to an American icon will take you back to a time when things were – not so very different from today! It’s all in good fun as America’s beloved humorist shares his folksy wit and wisdom in a sensational musical revue.

A part-Cherokee cowboy from Oklahoma who never finished high school, Will Rogers went on to become a newspaper columnist, social commentator and the biggest, most popular, most highly paid star of every existing medium of his time – stage, screen, radio and print. Famed for saying “I never met a man I didn’t like,” the feeling was mutual; the world adored Will Rogers. Rogers’ good-natured ribbing of politicians, gangsters, celebrities – and himself – was laced with kindness, compassion and honesty.  Rated PG and on our stage through March 12.

Opening Thursday at Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre: the fiendishly funny Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward.
Hoping for a few laughs and some new material, a novelist hires a medium – and winds up being haunted by the ghost of his tempestuous first wife. What begins as a prank turns into a hilarious battle between the bad-tempered banshee and a tangibly ticked off second wife for the affections of their mutual husband. Rated PG.
