The Sound of Music at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater
The brilliant singing of Hanna Nielsen as Maria is one of many pleasures in Good Company Players’ production of The Sound of Music, now on stage at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater.
Feel your heart warm and your spirit soar to a beautiful story of love and family, and courage in the face of grave danger.
This family-friendly musical will restore your faith in the precious human capacity for humor, generosity of spirit and joy. It climaxes in one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.
Enjoy the conversation of family or friends as you experience the fabulous dinner prepared by Chef Eric DeGroot and his staff. Then relax with cocktail or coffee at your comfortable table as the stage lights come up and The Sound of Music begins. Its songs, including the title song “The Sound of Music”, “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and “Do-Re-Mi”, have become standards.
The price for your complete evening of dinner and show is $45 on Thursdays and Sundays when a buffet dinner is served, and $49 or Fridays and Saturdays when you order from a menu for a delicious dinner served at your table. Moms and dads will be glad to know there’s a dinner and show price of $23 for kids aged 6 to 15 at all performances.
Call now to secure your spot. Our friendly box office crew will answer your questions and get you situated on the date and in the seats that suit you best. The box office is open Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. Our congenial crew is awaiting your call at (559) 266-9494.
The “Wild West” takes over the stage at Roger Rocka’s beginning July 19 with Good Company Players’ production of Calamity Jane.” In a first for GCP and Roger Rocka’s, the title role will be played by Special Guest Artist Louise Mandrell.
Wild Bill Hickok has his hands full with the even wilder Calamity Jane in this hilarious western romp. Adapted from the Doris Day film, it’s a musical hoe-down. In the midst of this battle-of- the-sexes are mistaken identities, romantic rivalry and a tomboy transformed by a “Secret Love.” Rated G.
Tickets for Good Company Players production of Calamity Jane are now available at the Box Office or by phoning 266-9494 or 800-371-4747.

GCP’s 40th Anniversary
They’ve come a long way since their first performance in the ballroom of the downtown Hilton Hotel in June of 1973 and Good Company Players will soon be announcing their 40th Anniversary Seasons at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater and GCP’s 2nd Space Theatre. The box office has been busy with Season Ticket Holders renewing their subscriptions and claiming their tables for 2013. Soon, the new seasons will be revealed and made available to all. We heartily recommend Season Tickets because they save you money, lock in good seats for each show, and guarantee great evenings of good food, joyful musical theater, and real (not virtual) face-to-face fun for the entire year.
Much laughter and a few tears with Grace & Glorie
At Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre
Feisty 90 year old Grace has rejected medical care and returned to her mountain cabin to finish her life alone.
When Gloria, the uptight and sophisticated hospice volunteer arrives, Grace tells her she’s not needed. A lot of laughs and a few tears later, they find they need each other. PG-13.
On stage through June 17.
June 21-August 12
A nice Jewish girl has told her nice Jewish family she’s dating a nice Jewish doctor, but she’s really dating a very WASP young executive. With her parents coming to meet her beau, she hires an actor to play “Dr. Steinberg.” He’s very convincing and her parents fall for him… but will she? Rated PG.
