Andrew Lloyd Webber’s joyful retelling of the story of Joseph, his doting father, his eleven jealous brothers, and his adventures in Egypt!  Opening May 24!

Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, this cheery, touching musical follows the biblical story of Jacob’s favorite son, Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble, Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled Elvis-inspired Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to position of Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. Good Company Players’ production will be on stage at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater through July 15 and is rated PG.

The Heiress twists, turns, and grips audiences in a riveting production at Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre!

A wealthy but awkward spinster has been unfavorably compared to her beautiful deceased mother all her life. Accustomed to the disdain of her overbearing father, she longs for affection and approval. When a charming young man proposes to her, her lack of confidence is dispelled and she happily accepts. But her father suspects the suitor is a fortune hunter and announces he will disinherit his daughter if the marriage goes forward. Love, betrayal, and retribution unfold as this repressed young woman defies her father to seize her heart’s desire.  The Heiress is on stage at 2nd Space through June 17 and is rated PG.

Junior Company Auditions this month

Saturday, May 26, at 9 AM in Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater!
The Junior Company is Good Company Players’ respected troupe of young performers, aged 8-16.  This company will perform before each performance of Into the Woods and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Roger Rocka’s.. Rehearsals begin Saturday, June 9. The commitment for this company lasts through November 11.  The Junior Company usually rehearses on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and performs Thursdays through Sundays.

Kids’ Production Workshop!

The 2018 summer All-Kids Production Workshop for ages 8-17 is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  The kids will rehearse May 29–July 6, Monday through Friday, from 4 to 6pm.  Performance dates are July 9 and 10.  Sign up deadline is May 19.  Call (559) 266-0211 for more information and to enroll.
