Moonlight and Magnolias

Opening January 2 at Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre: Moonlight and Magnolias, by Ron Hutchinson.  It is 1939 and Hollywood is abuzz. Producer David O. Selznick has stopped filming his new epic, Gone With The Wind and everyone wants to know why.

While Selznick fends off the film’s stars, gossip columnists and his famous father-in-law, he frantically comes to grips with the fact that the script stinks and the director hasn’t a clue. He fires the director and writers and then locks himself, the new director and an ace screenwriter in his office for five maniacal days with nothing to eat but bananas and peanuts.

Dance and Improv Classes

Good Company Players is thrilled to announce its Winter/Spring 2016 class schedule! All classes are technique-based, therefore there will not be any final performances.  The classes are intended to help students prepare for auditions, get in shape, or just have fun!  Please check out our website at gcplayers.com or call 559-266-0211 for more information.

Basic Ballet (9+)

For beginning ballet students. This class will be taught by dancer and choreographer extraordinaire, Kaye Migaki. Meets Saturdays (1/30 – 4/2), 3:15PM-4:05PM at GCP’s Annex (1230 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA).   

Beyond Basic Ballet (13+)

For dancers with at least a year of ballet experience. Also taught by the incomparable Kaye Migaki. Meets Saturdays (1/30 – 4/2), 4:15PM-5:05PM at GCP’s Annex (1230 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA).     

                                       

Theater Improv (16 +)

Experience the power of play and the fun of improvisational comedy in a fun and safe environment with the dynamic duo, Emily Pessano and Teddy Maldonado. Meets Saturdays (1/30 – 4/2), 5:15PM-6:45PM at GCP’s Rehearsal Hall (1028 N. Fulton St., Fresno, CA).       

                                                 

Beginning Tap (9+)

Outstanding dancer/choreographer, Ashley Wilkinson will teach this class. Perfect for those just starting out in the tap world. Meets Thursdays (1/28 – 3/31), 4:00PM-4:50PM at GCP’s Annex (1230 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA).

 

Intermediate Tap (13+)

Ashley Wilkinson will also teach this class. It’s a fantastic opportunity for those with previous tap experience who are looking to take their tap skills to the next level. Meets Thursdays (1/28-3/31), 5:00PM-5:50PM at GCP’s Annex (1230 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA).  

Beginning Theater Dance (9+)

A combination Jazz/Tap class taught by the well-known Junior Company Director/Choreographer/Alumni, Malinda Asbury. Meets Fridays (1/29-4/1), 5:00PM-5:50PM at GCP’s Annex (1230 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno, CA).
